Designing Streets for Pedestrians & Bicyclists
is a Transportation Design and Planning firm that specializes in creating
walkable and
bikeable streets, with the goal of enhanced community and neighborhood
livability. Our staff has years of experience in innovative
design and planning for improved conditions in the public right-of-way
for walkers and bicyclists, while balancing the needs of all
road users. DSPB provides the following services: |

charrettes and corridor studies to developing bicycle and pedestrian plans
and revisions of state DOT design manuals. |

professional organizations such as the Association of Bicycle and Pedestrian
Professionals
(APBP), the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE), the Transportation
Research Board (TRB) and AASHTO. |

Our staff has participated in the development
of various design and planning documents, such as the Oregon Bicycle and
Pedestrian
Plan; the AASHTO Guide for the Development of Bicycle Facilities; the
AASHTO Guide for the Development of Pedestrian
Facilities; and the ITE/CNU Context Sensitive Design of Urban Thoroughfares. |
